HISTORY
Fulgrim was picked off of the streets of Chicago at the age of 15 by Mikaela Magdalena, then Number 003 of the Lucifuge. The Lady, acting against Mikaela’s recommendations, awakened the Legacy of 007 in him by keeping him trapped for days on end without food and water, surrounded by dogs that had been driven mad by hunger. Mikaela took Fulgrim under her wing afterward as a means of penance, and because the Legacies of their Numbers were remarkably similar. As such, Fulgrim and Mikaela were incredibly close even before they joined the Thrones. When Mikaela decided to leave the Lucifuge, Fulgrim followed her without hesitation. Fulgrim later joined her at the Oni Ward in order to continue to serve as his mentor’s right hand man.

Because of the affinity he possessed with Hellhounds, Fulgrim was invaluable to the Thrones during the Breaking of the Veil, the First Reforms, and the Darkest Vigil. He became the tracker and number one attack dog of the Thrones because of his uncanny ability to find just about anything and anyone that happened to be mixed up in the business of Hell. Unfortunately, this was one of the reasons why he was not with Mikaela when she died: he had been working undercover in Russia, attempting to recover some of the Strays that had involved themselves with Grendal. Until now, Fulgrim firmly believes that his mentor would still be alive if he had been around to protect her.

Fulgrim is now in charge of the Oni Ward in Japan. He continues to serve as the Bloodhound of the Thrones, and is now a triple-licensed hunter of the Thrones, Netsach, and Zangyaku.

CURRENT STATUS
Almost permanently stationed in the Oni Ward at present. He has, in a way, redeemed himself for not being there for his mentor in her final moments by being the one who personally recovered Nishta. He has taken it upon himself to be a mentor and father figure to her, in the same way that Mikaela was one to him.

PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE
Fulgrim’s experiences in the pit made him a survivalist with more canine than human characteristics. He is fierce and simple-minded, driven and dedicated to his work, quick to lash out at perceivable threats and loyal to anyone whom he views as his master almost to a fault. Human social structures and political systems confuse him, and the finer points of social graces escape him.

At the moment, Fulgrim continues to wrestle with the guilt he feels over having “abandoned” Mikaela, someone who had been central to his life on the get-go. Even though he knows that he cannot be blamed in any way for her death, he almost constantly wonders if he could have done anything to prevent it. The recent discovery of Nishta, however, may heal this emotional wound with time.

THREAT LEVEL
NOTABLE/NON-FACTOR. There are times when Fulgrim is quite literally a dog on a very long leash provided by the Thrones. Nevertheless, it is hard to imagine him causing problems for Pax Deorum in the near future, especially since he is unquestionably loyal to his compact.
