HISTORY
Prior to her first change, Halo spent most of her life living on her own. Her parents had been occupied with their work, and more than willing to let their daughter take care of herself. She only discovered the truth of things once she transformed and became an operative of the Methuselah: the Jafelices were Inquisitors, and had been personally assigned by Aidan Clayce of Anino to monitor the situation of the Changing Breeds of the Fifth World.

Halo was assigned to the Rockin’ Rollas rather than end up with a blade of novices, and came in contact with members of the Pack and of Wolf’s Choice. Up until the schism between the Methuselah and Netsach, she balanced her time between assisting her blade mates and training. She eventually left the Methuselah with the rest of her blade mates, a move that marked her first decision she made in her life completely on her own. This, in a way, empowered her, and made her really assess her own situation.

Soon after she was promoted to the Seventh Circle, Halo requested for a change of assignments from Aidan. She believed that being a regular operative of Netsach was far too restrictive for her, and was keenly interested in finding more Changing Breeds, and helping them out. Aidan complied with her request. It was for this reason that Halo was not a part of Operation Nyx.

During the First Reforms and the Darkest Vigil, Halo placed a significant role with regard to aiding the Changing Breeds around the world, spearheading negotiations between the ferals and other denizens of the Fifth World, and protecting ferals against Grendal while mobilizing whoever was willing to fight. She was, at first, assisted by her parents (they also handled training her while they were traveling around), and later employed Cisco Montelibano-Profaci as one of her agents. Her exploits were the main reason why Elias Tagabigay eventually made her a part of the Wiseman’s Committee: she was, perhaps, the most ideal person for the job, capable of properly representing the multitudes of ferals in a formal governing body.

CURRENT STATUS
Halo continues to spend her days traveling around the globe in spite of her age, taking assignments from the conspiracies that she is a part of while she’s on the road. She is currently an Inquisitor of Liyab, dual-licensed with the Midnight Riders (Cetan) and the Methuselah (Metis). Whenever she manages to swing by Falner Estate, she spends her down time as an instructor at Balamb.

PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE
Halo’s fiercely independent personality was, originally, a means to deal with abandonment. For most of her life, Halo had made herself believe that she loved being on her own in order to avoid having to feel bitter, resentful or sad over the fact that her parents appeared to be more interested in their work rather than raising her properly. She did not want to be associated with them in any fashion, and did not actually love them, at first, as much as she claimed to.

While she has resolved the issues she had with her family and her own inherent insecurities, Halo’s need for adventure and freedom have not changed. She continues to prefer having as few connections to people as possible, even if she may outwardly appear to be warm and friendly. This makes her an excellent negotiator and perfectly suited for counseling, as she is just emphatic enough to connect but distant enough to enable her to see a situation at all angles. However, it does look like this has taken a toll on her own personal life, as indicated by the fact that she has never managed to romantically involve herself with another person, and does not appear to have any friendships outside of her blade and the blades that the Rockin’ Rollas involve themselves with.

THREAT LEVEL
NOTABLE/NON-FACTOR. Halo has always been too in love with her freedom to do anything that will compromise her position. Furthermore, her current age plays a big part in downplaying any fears that one might have with regard to her turning against the Vigil. It helps, of course, that she is a part of the Wiseman’s Committee: that, in itself, is indicative of the fact that she is more interested in preserving peace than embroiling herself or others in conflict.
