Entitlement for Alchemists: The Order of the Golden Dawn
WHAT IS THE ORDER OF THE GOLDEN DAWN?
Redemption is a reality for the Created, and sometimes, their Redeemed brothers and sisters remember what it was like to be an inhuman monster, unable to be one with the very thing that they were created in the likeness off. Sometimes, those among the Redeemed still possess the spark of Azoth within them.![]()
Alchemists are individuals who, by merit of their redemption or because of the Promethean ancestor, devote themselves solely to the study of Promethean alchemy. Alchemists of the Golden Dawn take this a step further by focusing their efforts entirely on using the powers at their disposal to destroy Pandorans, and protect their Promethean brothers and sisters on their respective Pilgrimages.
Recently, the Golden Dawn has opened its doors to accepting Prometheans who have decided to become Keepers of the Vigil into their ranks. Many of these Prometheans see their work with the Golden Dawn as a means of helping them become human.
PREREQUISITES.
Must either be an Alchemist or a Promethean Status 3 or higher specific to a compact or conspiracy Azoth 3 or higher Morality 8 or higher (Alchemist) or Humanity 8 or higher (Promethean) Must possess four dots or more in two of the Transmutations related to their Refinement
MEMBERSHIP & INITIATION.
In order to become a member of the Order of the Golden Dawn, the Alchemist must take upon A Quest of the Saturnine Night: that is, they must have either destroyed an incredibly powerful Pandoran (one that is often marked by the Golden Dawn as a high-level adversary) or aided a Promethean brother or sister in the achievement of at least one of the Milestones of his or her Pilgrimage. An initiate is only allowed to fail at a Quest once; a second failure means that they can never join the Order of the Golden Dawn.
THE RULES.
Follow the Code, Live By the Vigil. Humanity is a tricky concept, but Redemption is something that appears to come as a result of living in the most ethical way possible. The laws of the World of Light, however, serve only the World of Light. As such, Alchemists of the Golden Dawn consider the Code and the pursuit of the Vigil their highest possible causes right on par with their quest to help their Created brothers and sisters.
Aid the Pilgrims. Prometheans are always on the quest for the Philosopher’s Stone that is humanity, something that Alchemists were skilled enough to achieve on their own or lucky enough to be born with. A member of the Golden Dawn is expected to aid any of the Created whom they end up crossing paths with.
Destroy the Pandorans. Pandorans are the embodiment of all that Prometheans should not be, and are plagues upon mankind. Alchemists are best equipped to fight them – as such, they are expected to be the first to join the battle whenever a Pandoran is afoot.
